The Challenge
Ebb & Flow is a Milwaukee-based homegoods and design shop we've partnered with since their launch in 2023. After establishing their physical presence with custom packaging and merch, they came to us with their next challenge: translating the magic of their in-store shopping experience to e-commerce.
The goal was creating a website that captured the same sense of delight and discovery customers felt browsing their carefully curated shelves; no small feat when you're competing with the instant gratification of walking into the actual shop.
The Solution
We created an experience that balanced whimsy with usability. Custom cursors and playful hover states encourage exploration -- click around and see what happens! Rich photography and custom illustrations bring the tactile, curated feeling of their physical shelves to screen.
Every interaction was designed to spark that same 'oh, what's this?' moment you get in-store, while keeping the path to purchase crystal clear.
